Blooming Tea - 3 Flower Burst

3 Flower Burst Tea, bag of 6 or tin of 12 blooming tea balls.

This is an artisanal handcrafted blooming tea that will unfurl in a beautiful display. Crafted in the region most known for growing tea and flowers, Yunnan Province in China. The idea behind the 3 Flower Burst tea is that as it brew, the leaves unfurl and unfold and mimic the lush Yunnan countryside which bursts in all sorts of flowers and colours in the springtime. 

Tasting Notes: Bright full green taste layered with overtones of cut peach from the Osmanthus which come to fore and undertones of jasmine and lily flowers. 

Instructions: Place blooming tea ball in glass teapot or large mug, add water at 90C/194F. Infuse until the ball is fully open usually 5 minutes. Take out the tea ball and you can re-infuse it longer for a second teapot. 

Expert tip: rinse the tea ball in cold water for ten seconds and throw the cold water out before adding the hot water. Since this is a green tea it is important not to scold it with boiling water, 90 degrees allows a smoother taste to develop.
