Workshops
Kanata local community members will have a chance to register for various activities, tastings and workshops lead by local artists, craftmakers and specialists. We will host these small group gatherings at Mint & Honey on various weekdays and weekends after 4pm. We will provide tea and cookies during breaks.
Free Online Turorials:
Local artists Feeling Nifty (Jasmine Dhillon) provides step-by-step online tutorials for painting and crafting small projects that you can do in the comfort of your own home or classroom. These are great options to provide a flexible activity schedule in small groups be it in the family, at church groups, community groups, or schools.

Drawing with Scissors

Drawing with scissors is a beginner friendly collage workshop inspired by Henri Matisse’s colourful collages of cut and pasted papers. Using scissors and paper as a drawing tool, participants will explore shape, movement and composition through guided exercises and an open final piece. Class will be lead by local artist and art therapist Suzanne McCleary.
