Air plants, or Tillandsias, are truly a unique tropical plant. Air plants rely on a combination of air and water to grow, but aren’t as dependent on water as traditional plants. It is enough to mist the airplant twice a week, make sure to shake off the water very well or hang upside down to dry. Another way is to soak the airplant for ten minutes once a week and then shake off the excess water and hang to dry. It is important not to leave water between in the leaves to avoid rot.
Unlike traditional plants, air plants also do not require soil to survive, simply place in a hanging glass globe or atop a stylish dish or planter.
